The ideas behind Dirty Little Lye Soap Company began more than 10 years ago.  I made my first batch of soap because I had allergies to many commercial brands of soap.  I started with one 10 pound batch of soap and gave most of it away as gifts.  When I had so many requests for more soap, the soap company was born. 

All of Dirty Little Lye Soap products are created in small, limited-run batches, which allows for better quality and control of the process.  Since each batch of soap is hand stirred, hand poured and hand cut, please allow for some variation in color and size.   The soaps are vegetable based and made with both essential oils or fragrance oils.  I use colorants for fun and visual interest. 

Whether you are looking for a luxury bath soap, a facial spa soap, lip balms or something different, we have a unique variety of products and scents for every experience.

I do not test any of my products or raw ingredients on animals.

A little about me.....I am Laura, a mother of two kiddos and creator of Dirty Little Lye.  When I am not creating soap, you can find me outside!  My favorite hobby?  Running!  I am training for my 7th and 8th marathons to be completed Fall 2010.
